Rooted in Culture. Crafted on Country.
Dreamtime Foods is a proud Indigenous-owned business born from deep respect for the land, its stories, and the nourishing power of native bush foods. Our products are more than just food – they’re a celebration of culture, connection, and Country.
We carefully source Australian native ingredients through sustainable foraging, hunting and gathering methods – honouring traditional knowledge passed down over generations. Every item we craft is made in small batches with purpose and care, highlighting the bold, honest flavours of Australia’s land and sea.
We’re part of Bugarrigarra Mie – a Kimberley-based bush food business dedicated to bringing Indigenous-led food innovation to the table. Our mission is to share the richness of Country through food, while supporting local communities, preserving native food systems, and inviting everyone to experience the spirit of Dreamtime in every bite.
About Robert Dann
Robert Dann is a proud Nyul Nyul man from the Kimberley and co-founder of Dreamtime Foods, owner of Bindam Mie and Kimberley Cultural Adventures. He grew up on his Country north of Broome, learning traditional knowledge, bushfoods, and culture from his Elders.
Robert is well known across Australia as a cultural leader, performer, and storyteller. His work spans music, dance, didgeridoo, and education — all grounded in a deep connection to land and heritage.
Through Dreamtime Foods, Robert brings this cultural knowledge to the table, sharing stories of Country alongside the native ingredients he grew up with. His passion is showing people how food, song, and story are inseparable, and how they connect us to the land and each other.
Working with his good friend and chef Glen Hagger, Robert combines culture and cuisine to create an experience that is uniquely Kimberley — one that celebrates the past while looking toward the future.
About Glen Hagger
Glen Hagger is a chef, surfer, and founder of GH Produce, as well as co-founder of Dreamtime Foods alongside his good mate and Traditional Custodian Robert Dann.
Raised in Tom Price, Glen grew up riding motorbikes through the Pilbara bush while his dad ran a native seed business. Those early years gave him a deep connection to country and food from the land. Later, living in Busselton, he discovered surfing, which has stayed with him as a lifelong passion.
His Opa’s influence in the kitchen inspired him to take up cooking, and by his teenage years he was already working in professional kitchens. Over the years, Glen trained as a chef, built GH Produce into a nationally recognised health food brand, and refined his approach to paddock-to-plate cooking with a strong focus on bushfoods.
Through Dreamtime Foods, Glen combines his love of native Australian ingredients with Robert’s deep cultural knowledge. Together, they showcase the flavours of the Kimberley through food, storytelling, and community connection.
When he’s not in the kitchen, Glen can usually be found out in the surf or exploring the outdoors — always seeking the balance between adventure, food, and culture.
